Weed eater’s string should be properly maintained. If you can notice that the string is already low, you just remove the lower part of the head by removing the lower part; push it slightly then turn it clockwise. Cut the new string but should not be shorter than 6 inches, or else, your weed eater will not advance its string properly when used.

Follow the guides properly in threading back the string. If you do not put it back the right way, there is a possibility that the head will pop off during use of the weedeater blower. After that, replace the bottom of the head by pushing and turning it clockwise. An easier alternative is to just purchase the string replacement cartridge. Even though this is more expensive, it does save a lot of your time, and eliminates the hassle of stringing the machine yourself as well.
